Biography:
Emily completed her undergraduate studies in Spanish and English at the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2004. She spent one year as an undergraduate enrolled in the University of Alicante, in Alicante, Spain. Emily finished her Master’s degree in Spanish at Penn State in 2007. She studied Peninsular Spanish literature with an emphasis in Women’s Studies and Sex and Gender Theory. Since that time, she has been a faculty lecturer teaching undergraduate Spanish courses in the Intermediate and Basic Language Programs. Outside of class, Emily enjoys outdoor activities like cycling, kayaking, and hiking with her dog.
